I bought a "Skamper". It's pop-up truck camper. It's old and ugly like me, but I only paid 300 bucks for it and it works great. 30 years of tent camping was enough.

We had a pop-up for many years and many thousands of miles. It was a Jayco and served us well. Then we moved on to a moulded fiberglass camper (Northern Lite), now to a 21' fiberglass trailer (Bigfoot). Soon I think we will be moving back to a pop-up, lots more freedom, and cheaper on gas. Now if only someone would build a moulded fiberglass pop-up....

Not exactly a traditional pop-up, but similar. What I use is an offroad trailer with a tent platform that elevates up over the trailer, then folds out into an 8' x 8' tent. Under the tent, the trailer has a fold-out kitchen, frig and cooler, shower, storage, etc. people.tribe.net/gerberbab...ca22f2648. It's a Campa All-Terrain Trailer, made by www.campausa.com

fellow pop -upers - if you haven't checked it out, be sure to read the Pop Up Times. I subscribed after reading a copy. It offers all sorts of advice on our campers and shows handy new gadgets as well. Not too pricy either, if I remember right. www.popuptimes.com/ For a short time the magazine went to rvs, but it is back to its pop up roots now. No, I don't get a kickback - I just like it....
