Hey everyone. Just joined -- to find other campers. Lo and behold -- a person asking about colorado camping! Moved here 2 years ago from St. Louis, MO. Love it in Colorado. Love to camp Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Rocky Mountain NP, Golden Gate SP, Great Sand Dunes, and that's only the beginning. Also like to road trip to UT for the canyonlands desert camping experience.

Sun, April 23, 2006 - 11:16 PMSpent most of the summer two years ago Colorado camping...I really love it there.....I camped in Durango (did a little top roping there)hourseback riding along the gourge and canoeing on lake Havaland....(lots of leaches watch your toes)*** and fishing then moved on to Oray for some hiking and playing in the creeks....even took a tour of the old Bachelor Mine.....next up to Estee Park to take some climbing lessons. The Rocky mountains are breathtaking....loved the walk around Lily Lake.....beautiful scenery in all three places I camped .....hope to spend some time there this summer...........Im going to look up the places you have mentioned Please let me know your favorites.
